I love animals, and I understand them. I know that each one has an individual personality, just like we do, and when I’m pet-sitting, I am aware of each pet’s needs and how to interact with them. If they are shy and need a little space, that’s what I give them, but also reassure them that I am safe and friendly. I haven’t had a shy one yet that didn’t warm up to me in a couple of days, tops. If they are fun-loving and want to play, I’m in! Walks are always available during my visits for all or part of my time with them.
I love to walk, and it doesn’t get much better than walking dogs. Their enthusiasm for getting out and taking a walk makes each one a rewarding experience. I always remain focused and aware of my surroundings. Please consider me your dog’s bodyguard, ensuring she’s happy, having fun, and staying safe while walking out in the great big world.
You can feel confident hiring me to care for your fur baby or just to look after your home. I am fully licensed and insured. I am honest and dependable. And I will always treat your pet with the love and respect that you give them and that I give my own. I feel that the pets I care for are an extension of my own pet family, and I love them the same. Don’t tell anyone, but I’ve been known to get a little teary-eyed when a pet-sit is over. Oh, who am I kidding? It happens every time!
I am a long-term Summerlin resident, and I absolutely love it here. I have owned and operated two successful retail businesses (with my husband) in addition to pet-sitting. I believe strongly in providing the best service for my clients and customers and the best care for their pets.
My husband and I have rescued five cats and three dogs (so far) throughout our relationship. Some have come from abuse and needed nurturing and time to recover, which we happily gave them.
I trained our first two dogs to pass the Canine Good Citizen Test. Sadly, they are not with us anymore, but we adopted our current “dog” (we call her a fuzzy human) seven years ago. She came to us after having been abandoned in the desert and then adopted by someone who couldn’t handle her exuberance. She was terrified of people when she first came to live with us. We gave her all the love, patience, and training she needed, and she learned to trust us silly humans. Shelby is now a certified therapy dog who brings love and joy to many people.
So, that’s a little about me. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to helping you and your fur family feel relaxed, confident, and happy when you’re working long days or going to be out of town.
Sincerely,
Michelle Brooks
